Week 1 nuke

This week in Nuke we learnt about removing specified objects from videos and how to use the new nodes.

The Denoise node is an efficient tool for removing noise or grain from your footage. It uses spatial or temporal filtering to remove noise without losing image quality.

To remove the specified image from the video, we first need to denoise the original video. This will better save video resources, then use the RotoPaint and Roto tools to erase and frame the parts that need to be removed to create an alpha layer.
After that, the created layer is blurred and tracked, and finally a frame hold is applied. Let the newly created layer overwrite the original video.

week 11

real scenarios in production

In our future work, we have taken care in this session to talk about real life scenarios in production, when we have identified a position, we need to know how to communicate, how to deal with our colleagues, we need to know how to make products, what is the process of these things, how to present your work, how to establish a good communication with your leader and visual effects supervisor for example, how to take notes, how to understand What is expected of you in terms of delivery, in terms of the responsibilities of the industry itself? This process is very important to ensure that I perform well in my job.Stages in Production for Film in Compositing

Line Producer
The visual effects Line Producer is central to VFX project management. They liaise with all aspects of production and post-production: Director, Editor, external VFX Supervisor and Producer, internal Producers and Supervisors as well as artists.

VFX Producer
A VFX producer’s most important responsibility is to ensure their studio completes projects on time and to a high
standard. With the help of production managers and coordinators, the VFX producer will strive to complete the
project by the set deadline and within budget while managing the available resource

Of great importance in the company is the daily journal. The daily journal is a kind of meeting, usually held every morning. Every morning, people working on a project get together and share the current state of work. The current state of affairs. The aim is to make sure they are moving in the right direction and to get feedback from the director, client, producer or supervisor to make a better film

To ensure the production of a high quality product, each department must communicate well with each other and team members must solve problems beforehand and check with the producer to ensure that the results of the work are accurate

week10 nuke 2D Clean up

This week’s lesson number one gave me an insight into Roto. Another use for drawing in a Roto node, another Roto node differs in that this node is paintable and I can easily clean up unwanted objects in the scene with a brush, just like an eraser, for quick erasing.

In today’s lesson we learn how to clean up a scene in three different ways with Roto paint.

In this method you first select a frame, use the clone tool in the Roto paint node, match the colours to erase objects on the same frame, then use the Roto node to rotate the object area and track the objects. Because everything cloned is in one frame, we need to use the Frame Hold node to hold this frame throughout the video so that the objects don’t appear. The next step is to create a match move node in the tracker and connect it to the Frame Hold. The final step is to create a Regain node to place some textures to make the area look the same as before.

This method creates the text on the object, we use the same method as the third and create the corner pin, but we need to invert it to enlarge the text area as we can easily design the area. After we have edited the text, it can be displayed on the object

This method starts with a Rotopaint node, then holds the frame, then tracks the object using the plane tracker, then we need to create a corner pin to connect the frame holding node and reacquire it.

week 9 nuke Planar tracking

Shuffler Node, at the origin, some images don’t have a depth color or in the alpha channel, the rgb color doesn’t show the actual number, so we need to use the shuffler node, but the depth on the upper side of B and connect it to the RGB channel.

Plane tracker

Planar tracker is a handy and quick way to track , we can easily track and change images from the Planar tracker node. We first need to rotate the area we want to change and then track from 1 of this sequence to the end of the ST box.

After that we need to open Display_grid_line and manually fix the shapes of the rotomolding in Correct_plane from the first frame, as if we change them from another frame this will not have changed at the start and may transform the shapes incorrectly.

This node allows the light to be changed to any letter effect, and its intensity and transparency can be adjusted at will.

Defocus and ZBlur

I can use the Ramp node to control the blurred area, and I can also use zDefous to control the focus so that the area around the focus is very clean and the rest of the area is blurred, which is very useful.

This node controls the lightness or darkness of the image surface

week8 nuke tracker

This is me finishing the replacement of the phone screen.

Transform a super useful node  that deals with translation, rotation, and scale as  well as tracking, warping, and motion blur. In the middle of this session, we can make the colorwheel vary in size while in motion.

In this project, we’re replacing the TV screen, and first we need to track the four corners

After adding the tracking node, we need to bake the path and make the object that needs to be tracked and tracked bake it so that we can replace the previous background and get the result we want.

This picture is also learning how to replace and track

  • First we’ll trace the four corners of the phone, then bake the path and trace it to completion.

Then I use the node roto to draw the mask, I need to do it in the first frame and in frame 80, because at this stage the hand will appear in the screen, after drawing the mask, the hand will not appear under the picture and the trace replacement screen is finished.

WEEK 7 NUKE COLORCORRECT

nuke, this week mainly learned about this node of color mixing, and different methods of color mixing, rendering out different effects, and compositing and exporting after the color mixing is done.

In adjusting this image, I toned the plane and the background sky separately, adding different nodes to the plane’s toning to achieve different effects.

week 6 Nuke tracker

This week we learned about nuke tracing, nuke is not a very good software for me to understand, I need to spend more time working on the use of nodes and what the different nodes do.

First we mask the face of the character, in this node of roto, you can draw the mask curve of the face of the character, and do a good job of grouping, in the list of Roto Paint properties panel for good grouping, in this node of Roto Paint, also contains a lot of pairs of shapes, you can use any of the tools to draw, adding convenience, by Adjusting the video progress bar, we masked the entire head and neck of the video.

Then we tracked the familiarity of the video, first we have to create the roto node, the stone column into from the box, and add tracker node, track the stone column, add tracking points, start tracking, if the tracking path shows normal and complete tracking, under the CameraTracking panel. under the Analysis option, click Solve to solve. The green point is the correct point, the red point is the wrong tracking point, then do the final operation in the Transform of tracker and roto to connect the translate and center values. Running the video at this point reveals that the tracking was successful, and then I tracked each of the remaining columns and iron pipes on the bridge.

week 5 Nuke

This week we studied NUKE, although we had studied it before, we only studied tracking, today with this class I discovered the versatility of nuke functions.

First pour into a video in nuke, nuke is nodal software, we can click TAB, to create different nodes, link the created nodes, can make the video show different effects, and can be adjusted to the video color and size adjustment.

We can also blur the video out, click tab, add blur, adjust parameters, blur the video, add keyframes, the system sub automatically processes the data and can adjust the curve, make simple adjustments to the duration and value of the blur.

Next, we created a colorwheel and connected to different nodes, so the colorwheel presented a different state, the size and color can be adjusted to the value of the nodes, and can even be used superimposed, after which we grouped and processed the different nodes, arranged and laid out the nodes, so I was able to basically master nuke’s merge tool and color Grading, transforming different nodes to create a simple composite.
